It seems that a week-long contest isn't the way to do this, or more publicity is needed, or the accidental selection of Holy Week was a bad choice.
I'll give it another try sometime. Maybe as a 2 or 4 hour scavenger hunt.

Hi, I just read through the comments to the P-I article and found this URL. I think you have an interesting idea. I serve on the Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board and am planning to get someone (or people) from City Light to come to a meeting of ours to question them about streetlight outages. I think something like you suggest could be interesting and useful. Let me know if you'd be interesting in discussing further.
